NEURO TOUR Physical Therapy’s Fellowship
Our program was created in 2005 by founder, Carolyn M. Lawson, PT, FOC. It is an intensive training program that prepares providers to become elite practitioners specializing in performing arts and entertainment medicine. This program is founded in the principles of anatomy and physiology, arthrokinematics, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, injury prevention and corrective exercises. Hands-on training includes advanced manual therapy and soft tissue skills, manipulations, dry needling certification, emergency response and acute medical training, IASTM, cupping, taping and more in a small group setting. Additionally, we focus on backstage logistics, production and performing arts considerations, dance and theatre terminology, and production risk assessment.
At the completion of the fellowship program, our practitioners are prepared to treat performers of any genre, musical theatre, dance, film, stunts, ariels, and more.
